Florida Derby - 3/28/15 Gulfstream Park
Haven't been paying attention to the derby hopefuls this spring. Anyone have any angles on this? Violette's Upstart is a heavy favorite ahead of Pletcher's Itsaknockout (who got a win over Upstart by stewards inquiry).

      first shift JJ

      the fla Derby is tomorrow

the fact that you dont recall the derby is the first Saturday in May for past century, and they run the major prep races 3-7 weeks prior is not the forums problem.

worst group of 3 year old colts ever to appear on racing scene. reduced foal crop taking it's toll on racing. yes, some horse has to win, but no california chrome's in this bunch. not even that one is much, but he is running in a 10 million dollar race tomorrow in isis territory.

You couldn't be more wrong there are some unbelievable 3 year old outs there. American pharoah is a super star and carpe diem is a beast. You also have Dortmund Texas red and upstart.

Once again talking out of your ass, you are so IGNORANT. Harness is dying but the PREMIER THOROUGHBRED tracks are doing very well and industry is getting huge. ATHLETES AND CELEBRITIES now involved in ownership more then ever. Their are Millions being bet and in the pools of some of the tracks on the weekend.

JJ thinks its "dead" just because he doesn't bet on horses.
He should come out to Santa Anita and Del mar and see the crowds.
