Quite a few lower seeds are the spread favorite over the higher seed. Interesting.

#4The lines could be off and the seeds could be off. I think they will balance out. I'll fill out a bracket just based on book favorites just to test it out in the first two rounds.Comment -

#11Doesn't matter what its based on. They both assign numbers according to what they know and see. Just want to see who knows their stuff in a results oriented business model. No one should have made Texas a favorite I don't care what the criteria was.Comment -

#12This small sample size will tell you nothing. The books put up tens and hundreds of lines a day that people bet millions of dollars into and make money hand over fist.Comment -

#13So far the books are off. When big favorites lose straight up books get slaughtered. The small guy bets dog ML's not spreads.Comment -

#14That is why I want to see if they are better than the committee. The committee doesn't delve into other sporting interest other than college basketball, they should be at least as goods as the books who are putting out lines for all sports. Concentrated vs broad. We always say the seeds don't mean anything, but in reality the line is just a number to get even money on both sides, which has no affect on the games either.Comment -

#15anyone who pays attention knows that historically the linesmakers are much better than the fools on the committee
and the betting market especially is better
