Why wouldn't you take it and play your underclassmen. Give them a chance to play. See what you have for next year.
Use the seniors for substitutes if they want to play?

I guess it matters about your fan base. The Gophers fill up the barn and have a good home court advantage when they play in the NIT. They must have made money on the ticket sales? Maybe the students got in for free as part of their season ticket package??? Wonder how much it costs? Extra games have to be worth it for the program???

They do have to pay for them till maybe the last few games if you still in it. Most of the teams that would play in this they don't travel first class. This tourny is more for the smaller schools that are building for next year. For the smaller schools it's good for recruting also.
