all that fuel wasted just so people can watch accidents and hopeful that they will see a major wreck or fatality which really gets their juices flowing. promoters hope crowd will purchase products that they advertise on the cars in order to keep their fees up. never went but they probably overcharge for concessions and don't know if they sell tee shirts etc but they probably do. crowd mainly goes to drink beer and raise hell. i guess there's a market for it so it will continue. yes, you can wager on it but that's not the allure for most.

TRULY CLUELESS......... LOOK IN THE STANDS after a race at Texas Motor Speedway........ COUNTLESS pyramids of busch lite, keystone, budwiser, miller lite, coors lite cans -- EACH formed by the empty cans of beer that ONE spectator was able to polish off during the 4-5 hours at the track!!!!! CONCESSION PRICES ARE IRRELEVANT when every member of your race attending party can bring in his/her own case of beer........ and don't even get me started on my choice in the stands........ full bottle of Sauza Conmemoraivo Anejo, full bottle of cointreau, 12 fresh limes with "squeezer", plenty of ice, and full bad-ass margarita buzz by the first caution......
