#40I was pro in England for a few years. I couldn't spend my points, so I hoarded them. I got stationed to New York and gained 10 lbs from free pizzas...Comment -

#45Yes. I am so broke I once sold gauchojakes shit in his frontyard to neighbors when he wasn't at home. He was pissed, his wife doesn't speak to me anymore.... I hate non-pros.Comment -

#46I could care less about being a pro. When you guys had the books verify the pro status I didn't mind because I always have money offshore somewhere.
But now.. it just seems pointless.
I can buy my own pizza. I don't need free plays. I would never wear anything with the SBR logo on it anywhere.
So why be a pro ? for the charity ? I do plenty of charity.Comment -

#63Can us pros have a way to click one button so we can ignore all non pros?
I feel like we need class systems on these boards

Because if you have any ounce of sense then you'll see why being a Pro is +EV. The only people who even understand +EV are those who either aren't broke or are struggling not to be.
If you're not a Pro and yet are betting even $50 on a game, you're a fukkin cabbage roll.Comment -

#66As long as you nutters have the chance to either cash out for gift cards - SURE THINGS - or even sportsbook cash depending on your location, then you're a dipshit for not going Pro.
Imagine asking Sir William Gates or Le Warren Buffay if they'd take part in a program like this. They'd piss themselves laughing at the thought of even hesitating. You're getting rewarded TANGIBLY for something you're going to do anyway - log in here every day. Plus the other chances to earn points as a Pro.
If I were in the US I'd use my membership to have a massive pizza party or a gift drive for disadvantaged kids once a year with the points I earn for merely logging in and then buy some cool stuff for my family too. Win win. Even if you just want to spend the points on your family that's cool too. If you're in the US it took a lovely donation to get that Pro membership for a year so that works out well!
Supporting SBR is what keeps all the cool features of this place ticking. Fortunately we're able to get some really cool perks back on top of that. If you're not a Pro in 2015 I really have to start to wonder about the supposed 'sharpness' of some on here.
And as a European it is (the way it is now) useless. I'm already signed up at all the books that are worth playing at (pinny and co) - so no sportsbook cash for me.
Pizza - not for me as a European.
Gift cards - no.
All the other stuff from the store? No, no and nope.
So there is zero us for me in going pro.
Would do it in a split second again if it was worth it. It isn't right now.Comment -

#68Booya you should know but it's not a $100 its $200 and its not like you just hand SBR $200 and they just write SBR Pro under your avatar...
that $200 goes to whatever online sportsbook you choose. and you actually get to gamble with it. And if you are one of the few out there who gets lucky and wins then most of the sportsbooks will pay you. Not all ofcourse (Betislands) but most will.
on some of my other handles i am a pro.Comment -
