Lynch is most definitely a great player but I disagree with his stance toward the media. If he was more sophisticated- maybe he might seize the opportunity to make the media do less of whatever it is that he holds against them or at least expose their shortcomings more. You are either being positioned by the media or you are doing he positioning- as it is now they have very effectively made him look like an ingrate.

But I don't think it's gonna matter much how good of a family man Marshawn said that he is, when you'll have a 12 year old kid seating in front of a TV watching for the 3rd time in a row an interview where Lynch's acting like a moron and disrespecting everyone around him. The kid will suck in what he sees and then will turn around and go do it himself.

Actions speak louder than words. Him running a mini camp and helping out kids is awesome, but there are thousands of other kids out there who just watch him on TV.

The guy is such a phony. His whole routine is supposedly predicated on the notion the he has a phobia against public speaking and the media and doesn't want attention, but what he is doing is deliberately going out there and behaving in a way that ensures he get 10 times more attention from the media than he would if he just went out and gave generic answers.

He gets far, far more media attention and coverage with his "you know why I'm here" routine than he would if he just went out and gave the typical "Patriots are a great team... we have to work really hard... gonna be a great game..." generic answers. He wants the media attention. He likes it.
