Line as of 09:00
Atlanta Hawks -18 Total 200
Using Hollinger's numbers: Offense efficency (points per 100 possessions)
Hawks are 6th ranked in NBA in points scored per 100 possessions (offense efficency)
Hawks score 106.9 points per 100 possessions.
T-Wolves are 27th ranked (out of 30) in offense effiency
T-Wolves score 98.5 points per 100 possessions
Using Hollinger's numbers: Defense efficency (points per 100 possessions)
Hawks are 3rd ranked in defense effeciency.
Hawks allow 98.5 points per game.
T-Wolves are 30th ranked in defense effiency. (dead last)
T-Wolves allow 109.7 points per 100 possessions.
*side note before continuing
That 109.7 points allowed per 100 possessions number is attrocious.
Very rarely in this NBA era does a team allow more than 110 points / per 100
PACE (Pace factor) or number of possessions a team averages.
(both Hawks and T-Wolves don't average 100 possessions a game)
Hawks are 15th (right in the middle) ranked.
Hawks average 96.2 possessions a game.
Yet the Hakwks are among the league leaders in points scored per 100 possessions.
Are the Hawks a slow team? Hardly, they don't miss many shots.
They are a passing team that stresses catch and release (we covered this 10 day or so ago) that doesn't need to shoot at the very first oppurtunity.

Looking at the TS% stat, which combines all shooting, free throws, everything related to shooting, Hawks are the second best shooting team regarding accuracy, effiencency, etc.
Only the Warriors are better, Clips are up there too, but Hawks are lethal shooting the ball.
T-Wolves average about two more possessions per 100,(they average for arguments sake, call it even.) Wolves games average 98 possessions exactly 98.0
Since the Hawks (and the Wolves) don't exactly average 100 possessions a game, close though, Hawks don't score 106.9, when you multiply 106.9 x .962, never mind, I'll save you the math, Hawks average 103 and change a game, in an average game, but this not an average game. Not even close.
T-Wolves allow 107 against in a 100 possession game.
However, Hawks will probably see a lot more possessions this game, why?
They are +2 in take away/give aways. and the T-Wolves turn the ball over at an alarming rate.
The analyticals say Hawks will be +5 tonight in turnovers.
That's six extra points right there.
Hawks are a good rebounding team, the Wolves are 27th worst accurate shooting team in the NBA, the analyticals show Hawks will get 9 extra points in transistion.
Here are the betting lines.

Do with these numbers as you wish.
Oh, not for nothing, Wolves allow the most points to shooting guards in the NBA
You might want to load up on Korver prop bets.
Wolves all the 2nd to most points to small forwards, check out Carroll props
And 2nd to most to most points to power forwards, look for Milsap to go postal tonight on the Wolves too
Have fun people, I'm going to play some props, only thing I am worried about in prop betting is garbage time
