JJ, this is true. Downtown is for hamburgers, illegals, and trash. I'm usually at Bellagio, Aria, Mirage, or LVH for the book. LVH is fun to people watch.

I've stayed at every decent hotel in LV, and I basically agree with this statement.

Except for the LVH. While I agree the book is huge and good for wagering, the place itself is pretty much a shithole. I'd never stay there again.

Downtown is pretty trashy, no doubt. But it is much less crowded, and there is definitely an upside to that.

The Strip is for the young and is to touristy for me.I stay at the Southpoint or The Fiesta Henderson prob the Fiesta Henderson 75% of the time its just places I feel comfortable at.I always rent a car when I go to Las Vegas so the Fiesta and Southpoint are very easy to get in and out of and I just drive all over the place.Every once in a while I will stay at the Red Rock. But as I of said many times I just love the Fiesta Henderson.

How did you like Red Rock? Thinking of doing that next time for something different - been there once -seemed very nice.

was at Palms Place...did some gambling a gold coast. Lots of asians there but a very friendly vibe. They have a bowling alley $3 roulette and $5 black jack.

I am going again sometime in March ... may stay a week and split it up a different casinos
