The NFL will have set officials at every game now who properly inflate the footballs. That's a guarantee.

I read in another post somewhere... a poster was surprised that the NFL didn't already elect to do this??? I agree. I thought the same thing. You mean to tell me throughout all of these years... the home team supplied the footballs? What kind of fukking league is this???

I have to be honest, before this debacle, I was under the impression that the league supplied balls for both of the teams that were up to the exact specs. I mean what the fukk is this? Sunday softball league where the home teams supplies the balls?

Actually, you're right. Such a thing does not happen in college or pro football. Even when a team has to vacate a victory or championship in college football, they don't declare the team that lost that game the winner. They took away the BCS championship from USC in 2004, but they didn't turn around and give the trophy to Oklahoma and declare them champs.

Why is everyone fixated on the fact that the Pats would have won anyway? That should be irrelevant. They blatantly broke the rules to give them a competitive advantage, hence cheating. Whether it helped them or not is not the point. They clearly broke the rules.

we are talking about the Patriots organization that has already been caught cheating on numerous occasions

the Seahawks organization has never been caught cheating. A couple players failed a drug test
for what came out as adderal and were suspended...and served their suspension. Brandon Browner smoked weed and got kicked off the team mid-season

a player failing a drug test is completely different than a team video taping practices or deflating balls

They were only caught "cheating" once and that was for taping signals during games. There were allegations they taped a walk-through, but never proved. So people can stop saying they have been caught multiple times.

Belichick and Brady just lied on ESPN, and now some random equipment manager will be thrown under the bus.

No consequences will be handed down to affect the Super Bowl. Goodell will likely stall and wait to make a ruling until after the SB.

Watching this debacle of lies and finger pointing has been quite comical to say the least. Every analyst on ESPN is hammering Belichick/Brady and calling them out for the lies, as they should be.
