People forget the shit pile he left the Florida program in when he "got sick". ...though I can only thank him for that and add it to his legacy.

One of the best ever. I appreciate him for bringing 2 titles to the Gators. He's won everywhere he's gone. Utah, UF, now OSU. He just won the national title with a 3rd string QB. Think about that? That is amazing. This guy was born to coach. People hate on him because he wins which pisses people off. He's not a nice guy like Ron Zook. Everybody loves him.

so does anyone know exactly how much extra practice time buckeyes got?
That is huge. They didn't spend a lot of extra time on the field hitting the team said but you would have to think they spent hours with coaches on film. If that is the case and oregon was limited to just 17hours the final week up to the game, huge advantage for Meyer and sure looked like.
That game last night shouldn't have even been close.

He's coached 13 seasons. 5 out of 13 have either been natl Championships or undefeated.

Until you go to the NFL and win at that level than your nothing more than someone who has boosters PAY the best talent on the sly and you do your best to manage the arcane NCAAA rules

Exactly. School didn't start for Ohio State so they could practice without limits, but since Oregon's semester started they had limited practice hours.
I took Ohio State but the NCAA needs to get their head out of their asses and decide if these guys are really student athletes or just minor leaguer NFLers.

Ohio State had trouble, lots of trouble with Indiana, Minnesota & Penn State they won 3 squeakers. Then Cardale Jones took over at QB, Meyer is a sensational coach but how could he have overlooked Jones burying him in the 3rd string slot.

yeah even as a buckeye fan I knew that was a huge unfair advantage for Meyer. NCAA needs to get that fixed or put some kind of limit on the ncaa champ game no matter what.
In related news it was reported that the linemen for the buckeyes were told to lose 5-10lbs individually before the game. That would be why players said they didn't spend as much time as one would think actually practicing.

My pick is Jimmy Johnson for his time at the U. The guy who coached briefly for the Cle Browns played 4 years there & never played in a losing game.

Even when the NCAA finally gets it right --- 4 team playoff --- they look past something as simple as one team having an unfair advantage with practice time.

That's why I never liked the guy. He was all amped up to be a part of Florida... then uses leverage with some fake medical crap that a doctor signed off on. He leaves Florida... job opens up at Ohio State.... geeeeez... I think I'll put my application in for that... but what happened to your medical condition? It's a miracle!!!! Tebow saved me!
That's one thing I hate about Meyer... is he really one savvy individual??? Or is he a pu$$y in disguise?
He won me a lot of COIN this bowl season... so I guess I can't really complain. But his integrity needs to be checked.

it wasn't close. it was a freaking beatdown. tosu wins by 22 pts despite being -3 in turnovers?
in a big time football game, that statistic is MIND BOGGLING
(i've been watching cfb and nfl for 30 yrs and rarely see something like that)

Especially when its against a team like Oregon, with a Heisman winning QB... only 20 pts scored with a +3 TO margin? Bucks defense was awesome, and so was the Offensive line. The reason Ohio State improved throughout the year more than any team by a mile was the O-line. O-line was pitiful against VTech, and by the end of the year they dominated 3 of the better defenses in the country (Bama, Wisky, Mich St). Probably a big reason why the O-line coach got promoted to O-coordinator a few days ago.
Hate to break the news guys, the new Alabama has arrived... Bucks are gonna be on top for a long time... this team is LOADED from top to bottom at every position. Bucks were primed to be the new dynasty back in 2002-2007, but Tressel let it slip away somewhere a long the line. The players lost their discipline, Urban aint letting that happen
