TBH Bama gave that game away to OSU. Kiffin called some very stupid calls, especially in the 2nd half. OSU was tough on both lines but Bama was in that game...

Agree 100%. Won't even get into it as people seem to love Mariota for some reason, but it will be a mistake heard about for years if he goes over Winston. Heisman trophy winning, system QB's do real well in the NFL.

I propose a play in scenario that could turn out to be 8 teams. You first take 4 teams and if they are clearly the best 4 teams you go with that but if it's close (as determined by the committee), they can add a play in the week before at the highest ranked teams home venue. For example, if TCU was considered close, like this year, they would have had to go to Columbus and play in for that 4th spot. Lets say Baylor was also considered, they would have had to go to Oregon. Some years you may not have any play ins, some times maybe 1 or 2 and possibly 4 plays ins for a total of 8. It gives you flexibility so that you don't have teams rematching teams that clearly won on the field in season, etc.

I really thought TCU and possibly Baylor at least deserved a shot. The term "best" team is very subjective. The best team doesn't always win in a 1 game winner take all. We've seen it too many times in football where the best team just didn't have it on that day. It's not like the NBA where you have 7 games to figure things out.

Didn't think it would happen with a 3rd stringer until seeing him play. Guy was a monster, huge first downs pushing defenders back all night. Never let the turnovers effect him either.
