Jason Garrett doesn't deny 2 players were cut for fashion choices

Cornerback Corey White told TMZ earlier this week that the Cowboys cut him because he wasn't wearing a suit, which is required by the team, when they traveled to Tampa Bay for a Week 10 game. Running back Christine Michael also wasn't wearing a suit, and he was also released -- for that reason -- according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Clarence Hill Jr.

White admitted to not following the dress code to the letter but said, "I was wearing slacks and a button down. ... I tried to dress like a pro." He added that he wasn't "angry" because "it's the rules."

Coach Jason Garrett, who seems to spend more time answering questions about off-field goings-on than anything else, didn't deny that White and Michael's decision to not wear a suit played a role in their dismissal.

“We evaluate our players every minute of every day,” Garrett said, via the Star-Telegram. “We evaluate our players in meetings, in walk throughs, on the practice field, the opportunity to get in games, how they interact with their teammates. The body of work of each of those guys. We evaluate all of it. At some point you say we feel like we like we should give someone else the opportunity to have this privilege to be a Dallas Cowboy. That is what we did in both of those cases. The decisions were made in the best interest of the Dallas Cowboys.”
