Knicks are the winners regardless because they got rid of JR Smith. I don't care who they get in return. Getting rid of JR Smith is a home-run.

#37Is Jackson confirmed to be going? I would assume they are moving him because they don't intend to re-sign him and want to recoup some value rather than let him walk.Comment -

#39Basically they got salary relief and a second rounder. Yep, good move. They gotta just clear the decks and pray Melo is not over the hill.Originally posted by KRITKnicks are the winners regardless because they got rid of JR Smith. I don't care who they get in return. #40trade melo to LA, he won't ever fit in the triangle offense, get Randle and 1st for him then have all the cap space in the world and sign Gasol + another star and take that with 3 young guys to build around.Originally posted by d2betsBasically they got salary relief and a second rounder. #42yea LA would have to put Lin in the deal probably so they can fit in the cap, the rumor was he wanted LA but NY could offer that extra year and that is what he wanted, now he gets both in this dealOriginally posted by d2betsSounds interesting, except I don't think those numbers will fit.Comment -

#46If anyone thought the Thunder were giving up Reggie Jackson for Dion Waiters, who has only 1 year left on his contract, they are mental. Thunder gave up Lance Thomas and a conditional future pick. Good pickup for the Thunder, some bench scoring. And Anthony Morrow has been a god send for the Thunder, he is knocking down shots now that Durant and Westbrook are back to open it up for him.Comment -

#50I don't see Reggie Jackson or Anthony Morrow involved at all.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached an agreement in principle to acquire New York Knicks guards J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert in a multi-team trade that also sends guard Dion Waiters to the Oklahoma City Thunder, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Oklahoma City will give the Cavaliers a protected future first-round draft pick and send guard Lance Thomas to the Knicks, league sources said. As part of the trade, the Cavaliers will send rookie center Alex Kirk, forward Lou Amundson and a 2019 second-round pick to the Knicks, sources said.
For New York, the deal is a salary dump to clear cap space. The Knicks unload the $6.4 million owed to Smith next season.
The Knicks will have approximately $28 million in salary-cap space this summer.
A trade call with the league is expected to take place later Monday night after the Cavaliers', Knicks' and Thunder's games, sources said.
The Knicks also will waive center Samuel Dalembert, a league source said. His contract would've become fully guaranteed for the season if he remained on the roster through Wednesday.
