Lowest yards in history means lowest yards in history. I don't care if my grandma was the QB, the lowest number of yards in history, which encompasses over 500 games, does in fact mean something. Especially when it was following up giving up only 3 points to the Falcons, who did not have Lindley at QB. This D is on their game.

Nobody is arguing that Seattle doesn't have a great defense. Their offense can't score on Carolina's defense either which makes it hard to cover 11.5. That's why the final score in the last two games between these teams was 12-7 and 13-9. Doesn't matter if they are giving up 6 points a game. That still means they need to score 18 to cover. They can't.

I took the Seahawks because I figured there was no way Carolina scored more than 6 or 7 points. I figured Seattle would win 24-3, 27-6, 30-7, something like that. I came reasonably close to predicting Seattle's score but was way off on Carolina.

Still, a winner's a winner so I ain't complaining.

iT WAS 31-10, Seattle totally dogged the D on Carolina's last possession for that garbage TD to get to 17. When have you seen the Seahawks tank a D series like that? The Seahawks also could have scored on their last possession if they wanted to. The Newton /Panther turnovers were part of the expectation. Thats just one of the reasons I and many others had NO PROBLEM laying the points.

Seattle bettors were losing for most of the game and then when the Seahawks finally took a 14 point lead, Carolina marched the ball down quite easily into the Seattle red zone. It was the pick-6 that sealed the game, but if that 1 single play was different, Seattle still wins but probably not cover.
