#53Felt the same way. Just like when Valvano gave his speech.
I didn't know he was that bad prior to that speech. Pretty much knew after that we wouldn't see him on TV again.
Cancer sucks...
Prayers for his girls, girlfriend and family during this awful time.

#66I can't say I'm completely shocked. Yet I'm very sad. For not knowing a guy, it's quite strange to feel so sad. He was a big part of my life just in the sense that I watched ESPN nightly during his prime.
Terrible disease that has taken far too many loved ones from us before their time.
The silver lining seems to be that he packed it in and got the most out of life. Watching the reactions of his fellow anchors at espn tell of the kind of man he was. For that, good for him.
RIP way too earlyComment -

#67the best way to deal with idiots you are referring to is to ignore the. Don't give them the satisfaction of attention. I have a feeling the comment as they do in hopes of attention. #69I highly doubt anyone in here would have continued to work as hard as he did knowing the imminent outcome he and his family was facing. Just shows the unselfish character of Stu to provide for his family and their future without him. I have a lot of respect for him looking beyond himself and paying it forward to all of us.
Stu you are a man of character and integrity. Thanks for giving us all a great example of what a real man is made of.Comment -
