Big game for the Falcons. Will determine the shittiest playoff team to host a first round game. Maybe Pavy can grace the forum with an awkward vid!

Seems like GB/Detroit would make more sense.

Thing is both of those teams are in the playoffs regardless. Usually they like making these pseudo-playoff games (talking about Carolina/Atlanta) the last Sunday night games.

Id rather see the game that determines the 2 seed over the one that determines who goes home the following week.

Even cincy/Pitt warrants it more than atl/car.

If Cincy wins Monday, it will be the same situation where both teams are already in. And even if Cincy loses Monday, their playoff fate can be affected by what other teams do next Sunday. As of now, Car/Atl is the only true pseudo playoff game (i.e., winner is in, loser is out) whose status will not be affected by other results.

Nope. ATL/CAR is a virtual playoff game. There's one every year the last few years and it's always on SNF.

On a total side-note, this was the first season since NBC took over Sunday Night Football that not a single Sunday night game was flexed. The first 16 scheduled Sunday Night Games all stayed there.

Who cares? Why would anyone want to put two sub .500 teams on national tv when there are easily 2 better games that will both carry heavy playoff implications.

Because they are not do or die. NBC did same thing with Rams vs. Seahawks when Seattle won and made playoffs with 7-9 record.

My best guess is FOX moves Det/GB to 4:25, CBS moves Cin/Pitt to 4:25 and NBC gets Car/Atl at night.

Win or go home is the tag line. Green Bay has the national audience, but as others have said, both Green Bay and Detroit are already in...makes for less drama.

Don't worry about the sides and just play the under.

                                                          Merry Christmas, Corbin.

Falcons will beat the Panthers and then beat the Lions next week. They are making a run for the Superbowl this year. Listen to Corbin. Falcons is the play. They are competitive in NFC. They beat Cardinals and barely lost to Packers and Lions. If the Falcons get points on home playoff game the ML is going to be really good. Then they will be travelling to Cardinals for the next game, a team they already destroyed and in the NFC championship game anything can happen. A Falcons - Patriots Superbowl is not that far fetched as you may think.
