You normally parlay them, rather than ensuring 75%?

yes

you can probably do better than 75% by just doing 4 team parlays of teams you like

I would actually just treat the $500 freeplay like normal betting money.

Just bet a few 2 team parlays and use those as your bets for that night. Then if you lose, it isn't like you would not have lost money on those bets anyway.

That would be the fun way to handle it.

The sensible way would be to ensure $375, risk-free.

It just depends how you want to go about it.

I took Ohio ST +6 for the contest...I think the Buckeyes win this game straight up....I jumped on this line early last week when the game was at 7 and bought a half point with my book and got Ohio St (+7.5) for a $1,000!...

And to make matters worse, there was a college game, Stanford and Cal, where in the contest the total was 126. By the time the game started, it was all the way up to 130. The final was: 69-59.
