    Marlins 30/1 to win NLCS
    33/1 to win World Series.

It's totally worth anywhere between $25-$100 on each (or more if your roll allows).

Other than the Nationals, that's a weak division.

Fernandez back at the All Star break

    Fernandez
    Alvarez
    Latos
    Cosart
    Koehler/Haren

    And that outfield.

I like it...Figure to be buyers at the trade deadline as well if needed.....They'll dump everyone next season after winning it all

I'm good for about 12 games a year (3-6 seats per trip).

Ticket sales remains to be seen.

People don't appreciate The Lock's work enough around here.

Here should post elsewhere where he would be more appreciated.

I like it also. If they can get past the Nats, the NL East is nothing special. Plus it's been a few years, they're due to make a run then have a fire sale.

They made a substantial upgrade at 3B today.

Prado in a down year was better than McGehee in an up year.

Really think Miami makes the playoffs for the first time in 12 years.

Morse is a good hitter but very injury-prone. Would be suprised if he plays more than 100 games

I think the Marlins have a shot this year, they upgraded at second base picking up Gordon, upgraded at first with Morse (provided he stay healthy), upgraded at third with Prado, and they have a great young outfield, Ozuna is solid, Yelich is a future star, who should keep getting better, and Stanton is a beast. They also have a nice rotation, and assuming Fernandez comes back somewhere around the all-star break, if the Marlins are in the race, it's like picking up an ace without giving anyone up. I like Cishek as the closer, but I think they might need some help in the pen, but if needed they could address that during the season. On paper they have as good a roster in their division as anyone except for the Nats

The pitching will keep them in contention although the Washington pick up will make it difficult

It'd be just like the Marlins to win the WS in 2015 and then lose 315 games the next 3 years. Heck as a fan I'd take that.

Marlins just added Ichiro as 4th outfielder.

Nice pick up for $2 mill.

Can start any OF position when Yelich, Ozuna or Stanton need a day off.

Stole 15 bases on 18 attempts last year.

Need another bat and another starting pitcher though...

                                        James Shields maybe?

I agree about another starter but I think they're ok offensively.

If by some miracle they land Shields, they probably move to 12/1 to win NLCS

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Marlins are "still discussing" James Shields.
It appears that the Marlins' front office wants Shields, but Rosenthal says they need to convince owner Jeffrey Loria it's an investment worth making. Those talks are "ongoing".

                                              Loria is an interesting character.

Every once in awhile he gets the urge to go for it all.

He def has enough money if he decides to make a world series contender out of the Marlins.

I just think they need a hitter that can hit behind Stanton and force pitchers to give him good pitches to hit.
