That's the best one I think. Other news sources are getting bits and pieces but the ABC is pretty much like the PBS in the US. They won't get all the info straight away but they do report it unbiasedly.

Ch 9 just said they've talked to several of the hostages at the behest of the hostage taker. They heard his voice in the background telling them what to say. But they're not going to release his demands.

Ch 9 are saying there were two ladies who contacted 9 News with the gunman in the background. The first was calm earlier today as she read list of demands, the second agitated as the gunman in the background was getting fired up that nothing had happened after his first set of demands.

100% real as their families are commenting on social media. Not sure about the tags but I can only assume they're coming from the gunman or Youtube. The chick in the first vid for example was one of the ones seen earlier with her hands held up against the window. They're not fake. A few more graphic ones have been released but I couldn't get them over to here befoire YT deleted them.

If that was true, every news story would mention how the police officer is white or the perpetrator was black/arab/asian/etc... or whatever race they are. But they don't.

Media would be all ultra PC sensitive about stupid things like pictures of people eating watermelon or fried chicken. But they aren't.

We would have headlines about some other "hate crime" in the news each day. But we don't.

I bet many of you cannot say the same about whatever country you are in right now!

Australia is very inclusive, fairly tolerant and not ultra sensitive to race issues compared to what I see in Europe or USA.

You won't see protests outside mosques over this in Australia... do you imagine that would be the case elsewhere? Or would we be seeing protests and attacks against Islamic groups already?

Aus is the worst racist country of all the remaining western countries, backing many recent incidents against Indians, Muslims and Blacks. And people who call themselves are original citizens of Aus were infact boat people from England, not to mention they were shipped from England for being criminals.
