I respect winners and losers here.
I respect guys with 1$ units as well as the guys with 1000$ units.
Hell, I don't even have a problem with guys betting air.... ----> as long as they keep a year long legit thread.
I do however have a problem with guys that open a gazillion threads a year, are deep in the red, celebrating there winners heavily while not coming back into their losing threads ever again.
Keep a record and be humble about it and you won't have a single problem.

3 types of people on this site:
Those that can bet-financially able to withstand any loss
Those that "pick" bet-finacally insecure and sweat every W/L
Those that want to bet-here & there bettors depending on certain variables(i.e. time of year/month, reliant on others income, whether be it, a spouse or relative). Habitual loser. Insufficient income/funds. Basically, anyone that gets pleasure from seeing others lose, they're automatically in this category because they wish they could afford to bet, still.

I noticed one poster mentioned something about betting $10 on a game, in the sense that would be clowned upon, in here. Hilarious. I'm a 26 yr old College drop out(due to the obvious) and I guarantee that I net more than 98% of people on this board; I place a $10 wager 3-6 times per week.
