I have been looking through the forum a bit more lately. Over the past year; however, I would only visit sporadically for short periods of time.

Is it me or is the commentary from posters becoming more negative?

It seems like every post I view will have some sort of back and forth bickering with no substantive value.

I don't mind a certain degree of criticism or perhaps someone making a joke but things seem to have deteriorated to childlike remarks.

I hope it is just a case of a few bad apples spoiling the bunch.

I agree there is some good stuff which is why I would implore a simple comment.

For example, I really liked the over on a game a few weeks ago. The game was 1,000 miles away and an internet search called for rain all night.

One poster in the area chimed in and stated it had been drizzling all day. The weather was not the poster's intended point but it had value.

I didn't know how severe the rain was going to be. As far as I knew, the field could have been pure mush from severe rain.

This one seemingly innocuous comment (drizzling) really helped.

The field was fine and the over hit.

One sentence is all I ask. If someone posts one comment on point, then I could care less if they start something with another poster (to a certain degree).

unfortunately there are quite a few very negative posters. I have talked to my girlfriend about this and the best conclusion we can come up with is that the posters you see that are always posting angry and being negative are the ones who recently lost money or maybe they are unhappy in their life for some reason and they want to make others unhappy too.

But there are still quite a few very valuable contributors here.

Also if u like read write up and analysis some of the dudes at covers nfl forum do some really nice write ups. One that comes to mind his name is league capper or something... i have made some money tailing his picks here and there.

i wish paco would share his plays on Players talk but apparently he only shares them with payton420 via text message. Paco is one of the best spot bettors here.

Fact is, people troll and bash bear because he is a dick to almost everyone else and acts like hes better than everyone. Posts way too many threads too.

To answer your question, things have always been this bad. Since I started posting weve had many guys come and go. There actually used to be a lot of other guys that were bigger assholes and jerks than the ones we have around now.
