I think I see our misunderstanding, "math guys" can encompass a lot of people and I think we are talking about two spectrum's of the same thing. Well, here is how a "math" guy should gamble because the "math" shows you this is our best chance. Most people don't like this because it makes gambling boring(sure has for me, hardly even watch the games I bet on), math guys don't care about boring they care about the math.


If you want to find out IF you can win at gambling long term follow these steps. Again, this isn't a guarantee you'll win, it is a guarantee that if you have an edge, you will win long term.

Step 1. No matter what you think about your bet, you're flipping a coin so ignore your gut.
Step 2. Bury any thought you have about "gut."
Step 3. Every bet you make is the same size, risk 1 unit or risk to win 1 unit. You never vary from this. Never. The most important part

Step 4. Find your edge, mine is RLM, best thing out there. On the other hand, I know MMA so I don't use math to decide my bet, if you "know" mlb then maybe that is your edge. However, I still am betting as a "math" guy because again, math shows us we do not want to change our risk/to win amount amongst our bets regardless of how we decide our bet.

Step 5. Again, ignore your gut and kept moving forward.
