I know eastern sucks but is Oakland any good without Travis Bader (set all time college 3s record) ?

I know Oakland usually gets battle tested playing vs numerous top ten teams but this isn't the case so early in the season.

I too am on Georgia State. They have IMO a better starting 5 than Iowa State does.

Think this game comes down to who dictates the pace. Oakland likes to run and gun, eastern michigan is okay with scoring 50 pts.
If oakland gets the pace picked up, I don't think EMU can score at the same rate that they can.

Pretty much this, I think it's a 50/50 type game which is why I though it was weird OU was a 6 point underdog. Looked fine on offense on Friday even with the loss of Bader so I definitely think they're worth a shot at +190

Is Eastern after losing Riley and Glenn Bryant? I'm willing to say Oakland will be able to score on them, and possibly at will if Petros doesn't get in foul trouble.

SMU doesn't have 2 of their main players from last year. 1 is ineligible, and 1 is playing overseas. Gonzaga had 2 big transfers from USC and Kentucky. It still confuses me that SMU is ranked, when they've really never been ranked before. I think Gonzaga rolls big here.

Hype is the main reason SMU is where they are

But 10 points is too many to lay on Gonzaga this early in the year. I also think Gonzaga is one of those perpetually overrated teams.

I like this. Texas Southern lost what little cohesion they had with a number of departures. Really a question if Indiana can get out of the gate strong and really run up a nice lead. UCLA let a bad team hang around last night and didn't cover as a result.

SMU / Zaga should be a good game. I think I'll watch but not bet. If I had to bet I'd take zags, just wish it were a 5-7 pt spread not 9 or 10.
