My inaugural pick will be...

Steelers haven't lost two-in-a-row this season and I'm highly doubtful the Tennessee Titans will be the team to change that, especially with rookie QB Zach Mettenberger under center. He's thrown as many picks as he has touchdowns over his two starts (3 and 3) and Tennessee have scored a meagre 23 points (16 and 7) throughout these games.
Pittsburgh lost on the road to the Jets last week with Michael Vick starting which left many dumbfounded after Big Ben's successive 6-TD performances. Pittsburgh point scoring average is 26.1 points which is 6th in the league while Tennessee is 30th in the league with 16 points.

I'll be betting with a 'minute' bankroll due to a lack of funds but that may change.

Tampa Bay won comfortably against the Rangers (5-1) so I have my first winner. Steelers are up by three but the Titans D is legit, so it seems.

The Steelers ended up doing the job, coming back from an 11-point deficit to win 27-24.

With that I'm now 2 and 1, here's the stakes and returns on those bets.

YTD 2-1 = +$7.55

I'll also have a soccer pick or two coming up later.

I've gone with two international matches and both to win because both of the opposing teams are in a rut of sorts.

Serbia's last game was against Denmark which they lost 3-1 although they are playing Greece who have lost 4 of their last 5 games, 3 of which to average teams (Romania, Northern Ireland and most notably, Faroe Islands) while many Greeks are calling for Ranieri to get the sack. The match is away but I still see Serbia winning this one with more than enough quality around the field to do so.

I also fancy Mexico away against Belarus. Mexico have won 4 of their last 5, most recently against Holland 3-2 and the Belarusians have lost 3 of their last 5. Mexico is obviously the stronger team in this one and should display the same quality that got them out of the group stages in the World Cup.

I ended up going 1-1 yesterday making a small loss as Mexico lost 3-2 to Belarus and Serbia won 0-2.

YTD 3-2 =+$6.30

Today, I've got two NHL picks and two NBA picks.

I went 2-2 today but got whipped with the Blues losing, they didn't score one goal...

My pick for tomorrow is the Phoenix Suns -2 on the road to the Pistons, they've been playing some good basketball and I'm really liking how Isaiah Thomas has seamlessly been injected into the team.

It turned out being a push! How often do they happen in the NBA? The bookmakers got the spread right, that's for sure.
