I'm guessing either Stoops or Gundy out of the Oklahoma's.

Rich Rod would kill it out there. Not sure his style works in the SEC, but he'd be able to get the best of the best for his system.

Louisville gave him a double-double chance and they're not going to get fukked by him this time.

#16You don't keep up with college foots I see. Muschamp has coached at or played for nearly half the schools in the sec. He just came from the coach in waiting seat at Texas. Mack brown would bring instant credibility to the gators.Originally posted by EaglesPhan36Why would you hire the guy who shat Muschamp out of his womb? #19Rich Rod doesn't play defense...that will get you killed in the SEC....Stoops is wearing out his welcome in Norman and possibly could be had for the right amount of money. The pitchforks are out for him by the loonies around town because they don't like the fact they're not in the discussion for the Top 4. #26What's the point of scheduling Eastern kentucky this late in the season? Give the boys a scrimmage vs local jr high kids before florida st... Should be fun watching Winston vs the gators d ...well until the gator defense get worn down from being on the field all game due to their offenses shitty 3rd down conversion rate.Comment -

#27Jim Harbaugh would not surprise me. Everyone thinks he's Michigan-bound, but I'm not so sure. In 2005, Notre Dame had an opening and everyone thought Urban Meyer would go to his dream job in South Bend and instead was courted by Florida and chose the Gators over the irish. In the end, it comes down to which position is more ideal and gives you the chance for more success, and Florida beats Michigan big time in that category.
I think if they want Stoops, they'll get him. I think Stoops is ready to move on from OU after a rough year this year. I personally think they should go after Gary Patterson or Todd Graham.
BTW, insiders are saying Dan Mullen has no chance. There's some burnt bridges there between Foley and Mullen.Comment -

#31Arizona is actually mid-table PAC 12 D. That's not bad. Their PPG is right around the same as ASU, but the Sun Devils seem to have a better rap for being good on defense even though #s don't yield that. Gators have a decent enough defense, their problem is offense. They have NONE. They're 13 out of 14 in the SEC. When Florida was great under Meyer, they had both working well. Under Muschamp, they don't even have an offensive identity. I would be SHOCKED if they didn't hire someone known for offense. They need someone who is a big splash to catapult their recruiting for offense. Rich Rod's system would do that. Sure there are others, but hiring a defensive coach would be another step back for this program.Originally posted by Dirty SanchezRich Rod doesn't play defense...that will get you killed in the SEC....Stoops is wearing out his welcome in Norman and possibly could be had for the right amount of money. And as it usually goes, after you hire someone with a defensive background who fails, you go offense. See Auburn.Comment -

#33If he got offers from Michigan and Florida, he'd be crazy not to go to Florida for the same reason Meyer turned down his dream job at ND for Florida. Just more opportunities down there and the program is in much better shape. Michigan's a mess right now.Originally posted by jjgoldJimmy best coach in america
