Why are so many NFL games ending in blowouts?
It hasn't always been like this. A lot of games would come down to the wire in the past. Now everywhere you turn, there's a blowout.

Prime time monday night. After a hard days work, I get home ready for a good competitive hard fought match and it's another lopsided victory. Sunday night football last night and now this. Booooooooorrrrrrrrriiiiiing.

    what's the deal?

Few players that love to compete left in the game. Get their money and that's it. Get down and give up.

Teams are playing less conservative now. They are going on 4th downs more, especially inside the 5 yard line. Boring if you have no money on it. Very entertaining if your on the right side of the over bet.

It is strange I never saw this myself

Has nothing to do it effort they play 1000% every play

May be partly the rules favor offense of teams??

This typically happens midway in a NFL season. It sucks gambling wise. I expect some of these games the rest of the way. GL

Most of the night games this season have been Overs.
Not sure if this trend continues.

Because the NFL became a passer's league at the turn of the century.

I think a big part of it is there are horrific quarterbacks as far as NFL quality is concerned

                              Also horrific defenses

                                Rules favor offense.

Players are GIVEN heaps of money.

Loyalty doesn't exist in a lot of aspects of life. Money controls the majority of players. If they aren't given what they want they'll leave for another team.

at the end of the day they care more about collecting the check.

                                Money is in their head.

They make $100,000,000 and still say they have to feed their family.

Most players are black. Their minds aren't smart.

They jump high. Run fast. From being breeding like horses during slavery.

That's the truth. They aren't smart and care about money and tangibles only.

That's why 99% have all been white quarterbacks to win.

Also its why there is increase in white players in NBA. They behave and show heart and don't act like monkeys.

I'm far from racist but you can easily see this from a cultural standpoint.

Two phenomenons are at play in the nfl right now. Firstly, teams can't hold leads because they can't run the ball, so the clock doesn't run and the other team gets more opportunities to comeback. Secondly, the games are so lopsided because the deep bomb is no longer an option for a quick score, short passes when behind get the receivers knocked silly therefore more alligator arms, and all passes across the middle are either tipped or intercepted. Plain and simple.

I also think the skill gap between the very good/elite teams this year compared to the below average is bigger than it has been in a long time. The "middle class" of the NFL teams has shrunk significantly. Couple middle of the road teams, but this year team is either good or bad with very little in the middle

Good stuff. Still, last night, 10 points on turnovers on first 3 plays. PHL got more gift TDs in that game having little to nothing to do with offense. I guess I was naive about how bad the league is.
