#13Carson Palmer had an awful game last year and they still beat the Champs at the Clink. Place has lost its luster. Cards get home field and they are hosting the Super Bowl. Best home field advantage in the league. And that's going by stats, most false starts induced, not some cheesy Guinness World Record nonsense.Comment -

#14Honestly, nothing really changed for the Cards with this injury. Stanton has shown he is capable of winning games, and they won't ask him to do a lot with a good defense and a ton of weapons around him. Cards weren't going to win shit with Palmer anyways, maybe they catch lightning in a bottle and Stanton is the next Brady.
There are about 3 QBs that make me hold my breath when they drop back to throw, Palmer is one of them.Comment -

#25Yes, a lot of football to be played. I have the Cards projected at 11 or 12 wins. That is with them losing in Seattle and Santa Clara. Best coach in the NFC, best DC in the league. Ellington starting to look better. Things are looking nice in the desert. This team closes in the 4th quarter and snatches wins when worse teams would let the game slip away. They did it last year as well. Arians was prepared to have Drew Stanton as the starter until management grabbed Carson as a stop gap. He outplayed expectations and there was a lot of debate as to why they gave him another 3 years. The thought was that in 2 drafts, you grab a QB as the Cards won't be in position to grab Jameis or Mariota next year.Comment -

#30Cards seemed like a ticking time bomb overall. Their offense was/is very inconsistent no matter who is QB-ing. Their running game is still not very good and they seem to be allergic to hitting downfield throws - although Stanton hit one today I think. Their defense is good, but they seem a little smoke and mirrors at times if you look at them overall. They've been good at the bend, not break stuff. What interests me the most defensively is that you always here the term how blitz happy their defense is .. and yet, look how few sacks this team has.Comment -

#31Without Palmer, Cardinals are done. We all know this.
Nino....at least it's still early enough for you to jump on another winning teams bandwagon. So that's good!!

#32Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is believed to have a torn ACL, according to NFL.com. Palmer left the game late after going down on a passing play. Palmer's shoulder was glanced on the play, but it looked like he injured his leg when he planted. After he walked off the field, Palmer was carted to the locker room. The Cardinals announced Palmer had a left knee injury, and he was deemed questionable to return to the contest. Palmer did not return, and will have more tests to determine the severity of the injury.Comment -

the Cards have a great run defense. But their defense against the pass is one of the worst in the league.
There is a reason why the books have Cardinals as the 3rd favorite to win NFC behind Seattle and Green BayComment
