    High School Kid Kicks 61-Yard Field Goal


    High schooler's 61-yard field goal is crazy, state-record-breaking kick

    This kick smashed a Wisconsin state record that has stood for almost 70 years. The longest field goal in NFL history is 64 yards from Matt Prater of the Broncos, kicked at elevation in Denver. Zach Hintze of St. Mary's Springs High School was just three yards shy of the NFL record, and did this in Fond du Lac, Wisc. -- not thousands of feet above sea level.

                          Wasn't there a soccer player from some Florida school kicking consistent long FG's a few years ago (50-60 yards)?The guy never liked football but started playing as kicker and started enjoying it. I remember watching a news report about the kid but have never seen anything about him after that.

                                      All kickers can make 61 yard field goals. Just depends on if they are given the opportunity, if defense tries to block it, weather, etc.

                                          exactly. JJ Watt would have swatted that football down.

                                          in order to kick 61 yards you must not put much height on it That kid kicked a low line drive. It was almost like the defense wanted to see if he could do it?
