Would nba games turn out differently if there were no lines put out by books?

been watching so far this season and there's already a big handful of questionable calls that directly affected the spread of the game.

2 nights in a row now I've seen ghost fouls called in the final second that put guy at the free throw line with a chance to cover the spread
