it always a red flag for me if i like a 2nd half over and the total is set lower than the points scored in the 1st half..enough so i generally will pass....not trying to be a after the fact guy or second guess your play EP, you do a lot more halftime totals than me and was just curious if there any merit to that or if you have noticed a difference in success rate on such plays?

Doesn't really have anything to do with points scored IMO. Look at Belmont-Butler yesterday. They scored a lot in the 1st half, but it was done on efficient offense with not a lot of possessions. Each game is different. I don't think you can make a blanket statement and say if the total is under the first half total it's not going to hit over. I look at the # of possessions and match it up. This one for me made plenty of sense to try. Think the 1st half was like 71 possessions with average shooting that finished well over 1 pt per possession.

I honestly think you two are among the best at analyzing basketball games, and if you thought more outside the box a little more and decided to read between the lines on certain numbers from the books, you'd both be borderline unstoppable.
