    Screwed by Vegas book?
ok so I go to bet the Pelicans +160 for 2600. The clerk girl needs approval and the manager approves it but then like 20 seconds later while the clerk is counting the money.the manager says how much was that bet to win for?

They say I can only win up to 2k and void the bet but then when I try to bet again the line has moved to +155 I assume because of my bet. The manager refused to make a call to change the line back for me or check why the line moved. This casino was not the hub of the company so they are not the ones who actually move the lines.

Didn't they lose? Memphis was the easiest play on the board besides Colts

          This is a strange thread

Vegas is not even top 15 in the world as far as taking big bets

Many Vegas books move lines on 1000 bets all sports

            Standard.

Many places have tiny moneyline limits. I doubt this was some angle to beat you out of 5 cents.

They should of honoured the price after they sought permission of a line manager even though you had to bet a lower amount

He admits in the op that the guy isn't in control of what the line is. If the ticket is over the limit, they have to print a new one, at the current line. The guy is a human being, he made a mistake, it's two k limits.

im no defender of the books either. I've seen and heard plenty of shady things, this isn't one of them.

really, this is a lesson to know the rules of the book you play and also the regulations that protect everyone so you can appeal to the authorities if you were treated outside of the rules.

Horseshit. If the limit is 2K the ticket should not be printed out for more. Software controls limits, not customers.

Soooo, obvious angle to beat this guy out of 5 cents?

Its not like the guy came over demanding a players card so they can see if he's a fish or not and then said, "no bet $500 limit." Once they saw that you have beat them out of a pile.

They would've saved you money if you had bet there. Pelicans lost.

Very few pros even play at Vegas books anymore

It's mainly tourists and locals that don't have a clue

Vegas does not take much big action u sit in some books for a while and nobody is betting

Sports betting it is not a huge help to live in vegas but adds some more outs and sometimes good prop bets.

Poker, food, and cost living are real good in vegas though
