On this date, 9 YEARS AGO, I joined SBR.......
Not sure if this is an accomplishment or if it's just pathetic, but time sure does fly. Have been here through the boom, bust, and plateau of online sportsbooks. I remember the good old days when sharps were the norm on this board, not the exception (as it is today). Long gone are the sharp minds like MUDCAT, HALIFAX, NICKY, MATHDOTCOM, and many others. Many notorious squares have come and gone as well. Who can forget poster LVBOUND who claimed he was going to make it big in Vegas, only to crash and burn and never actually set foot in Nevada. And how about BROCK LANDERS, who has gone broke many times over, and who has seemingly been banned at every forum on the planet. And then there was poster RICHKAS, who had a mental breakdown after his girl dumped him, never to be heard from again. And of course there was BOBBYFK. Many of us have literally watched BOBBY grow up on this forum, and he has now moved on to different pastures (pun intended.....)

The landscape of offshore sportsbetting is quite different now than it was 9 years ago. The Wild West is over. The days when there were hundreds of viable sportsbooks is over. And the forums are now overrun with $10 bettors as opposed to 10 dime bettors. But, through it all, SBR has been here.....and yes.....so have I......

Only 1 more year until your DECENNIAL anniversary gift from SBR. I heard SBR will be giving tremendous awards to posters who hit this mark...

Ronald is correct; the quality of posters has decreased over time and the quantity increased. An inverse relationship.

Those were the golden age of offshore gambling when everyone made money. Now the party is over. Last one turn the lights off.
