Best time of the year to go to Vegas?

Going visit Vegas for the first time when I go to the US, probably somewhere on june-july or dec-jan, even early february...

Whats the best place overall between poker, betting and location? 500 dollar bets and nlhe buy in cash games, nothing too big.

Original idea is going to san diego or something along west coast before going to vegas then ny, miami and back, so maybe summer is better?

I lived there and worked for years. Dec can be cold and very slow. Rodeo only biz until Xmas. It really picks up then with NY day. If you don't want to fight the fakey SoCal crowd Dec is fine, but it can be really cold at night. Not kidding. I would pick and NFL weekend playoff in Jan. The atmosphere in books can't be beat. June-July it really heats up. Not fun outside.
Ton's of tourist stuff near Vegas. Don't miss Grand Canyon. Check for huge conventions. Weekends always overrun with SoCal crowd.

if you're just going for a vacation of course you go in October and November it's beautiful

Pauly stay at Wynn/Encore and party at XS/Surrender which are on hotel site, cant go wrong with that. Hakassan/Marquee arent bad either.
