It would have been close. Alex Gordon might have scored, particularly if he’d been in the mindset to do so all along. Or maybe not. I’m sure there will be Zapru…
I don't know either way as it's hard to tell how good of a transfer Crawford got from his glove to his throwing hand.Plus the magnitude of the situation makes the pressure of throwing a strike to the plate enormous .
I do know that if he would have scored it would have been a play that lasts forever like Buckner if the Royals ended up winning.

Did you happen to think why he is telling him to hold the relay?
Maybe because he already saw coach give him the stop sign.Which means Gordon had been slowing down for a few steps prior to that picture.
I'll stop short of throwing insults back and forth.

doubt it. he had his back to the coach. but even he could tell the runner had no chance to score.
but ur missing the point. crawford had the ball cocked and ready to throw home even before gordon reached 3b. how morons think he would've scored is a mystery to everyone with the sense of sight.

if his fatass had been running full speed from the get go and the 3rd base coach wave him in, then i think he makes it easily

Guys, he would've been out by 50 feet.
The only guy with the sheer athleticism that could've scored on that play was JJGold.

Guy would have been out my at least 20 feet. We'd all watch posey with the ball as gordon still barrels home dead as a duck smh. lol. I can't believe this many people think sending him was the right choice.

Game 7 WS, you're the last out for your team's chances to stay alive. Why wouldn't you bust out of the box? Give him a pay raise, will provide incentive perhaps next time.
