#13Maybe comparing markets is apples to oranges but both teams lack self-promoters and by today's standards are "boring".Originally posted by NYSportsGuy210SF Giants is a large market. It's obvious why they both win, they have very similar styles. I'm not talking about that.
They just lack the wow factor

I can't imagine myself watching NHL for the entire season and then missing a Stanley Cup finals just because I don't have a dog in the fight- I'd feel like I've wasted a whole year following hockeyComment -

#32so hard to even compete anymore yearly and SF defying odds
When are teams like Yanks going to realize you do not need high priced players to win?? It never works for them anymore
Baseball proves every year you can win with regular guys as so many no named players making smaller amounts of money better than well know players that had a lucky year in a previous season or 5 years ago
SF won because of a stud pitcher..its what you need not hitters

#34We live in a "pleasure now" society. Instant access, get what you want when you want it. Its bad enough that baseball is a slow game, but then you have to play 162 games just to get through the regular season! Then it finally gets interesting! Its why football is so popular. Only 16 games, once a week. Each game means so much!
Life keeps getting faster as the world slowly loses interest.Comment -
