Rockets fans have been saying this all Summer. Guy is great on the break but below average defender and very streaky shooter. Might be worth 5-8 mil a year but not $16 million.

The coach did an AWFUL job trying to call him out for being overweight and out of shape.
You don't try an embarrass a player you just signed and gave 80-100 million or whatever he got.
It's hard enough being the new guy, then he made him out to be the fat, lazy new guy. Give him a week or 2 he will settle down.

Why is that on Carlisle? I guess you can question his decision not to call a timeout but that would have allowed the Spurs to set up defensively.

They just executed poorly, perhaps overpassed a bit.

This loss is somewhat on Dirk for doubling 1 pass away off Parker who was 3 for 3 from 3. Why is he doubling Diaw anyway? I know the guy had a mismatch but it's Boris fukking Diaw. The guy is not even looking to score 90% of the time.

Devin Harris had a nice look and gave it up to Parson to miss that wide open game winner. Mavs had one timeout why they didn't call it and run a play is beyond me. I don't care if it was just a .20 which I'm not sure if it was or not but you gotta call one get your guys together.
