Another big play in the NHL

Tonight my Vancouver Canucks are going to get ass-fukked by the Colorado Avalanche. They played well last night against St. Louis, but they have problems with highly talented forwards and speed. Look for this game to be over early.

I laid 2000 points at -140 and $500 on 5Dimes at -137.

Eddie Lack won't be the problem in this game in my opinion.....chances are he plays reasonably well....it goes beyond that.

The Canucks are just not a great team, Colorado has not won a lot, but they are a great squad and traditionally play well at home. Add to that, the Canucks are playing back to back, the Tanguay factor (historically kills the Canucks), and that the Avalanche as a whole really do beat up on their northern rivals....and this is a great price. Guys like Matt Duschesne who is shooting up a storm but not scoring are going to explode one of these days.....and that comes against my overrated team tonight.

Lots of game left, and Varlamov looks shaky at best. They said his groin is 100% but it is easy to see that it isn't. When the puck is missing on the short side and he is coming out to close down the angle, he is not getting back OR across as fast as he should be.....a strong sign of a weak, or hurting, groin.

Matt Duchesne, first star. Now I know that the Canucks were up 1-0 and 2-1, BUT....the Avs dominated this game from start to finish. I am sure that the Canucks won't be overrated for long....so it is best to fade them now, in the right matchups, of course.

Tough to cheer against my team....but I don't mind if they lose for a year or two, grab a few higher picks....the team needs a shakeup.
