    Baseball culture= Hypocrisy
You know how many times ive seen a pitcher fist bump, throws arms up, yell, clap his hand in his mit violently at the end of an inning and thats ok? Seen so many pitchers celebrate outs in like the 6th or 7th of a 1 run game and thatsvtotal cool? But boy, if you hit a dinger you better get your head down and run around the base? Such a doubleb standard there. Would be interested on Nashes thoughts on the subject.

      Sign of the times

It is just a sign of the times, with all class attitudes and conduct going the way of the buggy whip, but don't blame pitchers. From Reggie Jackson all the way through the steroid era the home run trot was a staple. Now the roids are gone, the pitchers are back in charge and are exacting a price for former insults, real or imagined. I preferred the old days, when guys like Koufax, Ford, Drysdale, Gibson, Ryan and many more settled up with hot doggers asap, but now the stars get body armour, helmets, and the umps don't want to see any pitch even close to a "star" no matter how much he deserves it.
