#108In all seriousness though, this is a trend that is one that almost always applies. Teams that get hot, almost always experience a let down after the streak is broken. I bet SF last night because I got even money and because of the number of days between the series'.
KC is feeling the pressure now....San Fran is going to play loose their next game. I hate Peavy and won't bet this next game, because I am not feeling strong enough about it, but no matter what happens in this game, San Fran is the bet when they get home again.Comment -

This crosses all sports but I think of the 09 World Series as a decent comparison here.Comment -

Used to be? Lol, come on....I was laughing when I typed that reply....lol.
Also, I typed a more appropriate response immediately afterwards.
I am not talking solely about a game 1 loss....I am talking about a team on an extensive heater, like KC was. The layoff was tough for them, and coupled with the game 1 loss this will be tough to overcome.Comment -

I might be off here, but Peavy will go 5-6 and give up 3 probably. If KC has a lead after 6 it's pretty much game over. I just don't think the bats just went cold outta nowhere. I think it's playing against an elite lefty road pitcher.Comment -

We'll find out tonight what kind of resolve this team has.Comment -

#122I change from pound to ounce KC after I heard 10 out of 11 game 1 winners took the trophy on WS records...

Because MLB does not market things correctly, never has, never will.
MLB feels they don't have to.
I have friends in the baseball business, we talk about this sometimes.
If MLB and FOX advertise the excitement of the KC team, market (one of the faces of MLB) Buster Posey, sell America the SF Giants, you would get double digit numbers.
But MLB doesn't think they have to push it's product.
And that's a shame.Comment -

#128I wouldnt put a dime on this Ventura kid, even if I was from KC. I live in SF, but see absolutely no value in this game for either team. I just see homeruns flying out of the park today for both teamsComment -

#131Not betting KC at -130, could have had -112 this morning, but left it alone.
Total is the best play here, and a few props.Comment -

#135tons of dough pouring on KC and Peavy sucks that's why it's -130 could go to -135 game time also it's do or die for KC this game or else they might not see home turf again this year..
