I find with sales people it's all or nothing - if they are selling a lot their capping follows suit and if not vice versa it's a mentality thing

Another good one should be "you know, take away the touchdowns and turn them into field goals and that game would've gone under."

Totals just have never been fun to me though I like to gamble so it's different. I do well on contests just looking at totals and picking the O/U but no excitement to me in watching a game with a bet on the total.
