I can think of about 6 million better ways to spend a grand. Or in this case, lose it.

Well, I'm not a fan of the play itself -- though I suppose it could hit. Hard to say.

It's the principle of the bet. Over a thousand dollars on a -130 teaser or whatever that is? You'll go broke in a hurry playing those -- especially making the kind of money this dude makes in the real world (it's not like he's wiping his ass with 100 dollar bills). Only thing dumber would be a $1,000 parlay.

my brother has a masters degree as a teacher making mid 30's in North Carolina. I have many more friends with college/masters/MBA's making 20-30-40k a year. With student loans up the balls still living at home.

I'm making close to 100k this year with 0 student loans not living at home.

When I dropped out of school, I was going to be a math major learning why numbers were odd and even with proofs 2 pages long. So ridiculous. You never use 90% of the shit you "learn" in college. School is about passing tests, nothing more. You study for 30 minutes prior to the test, pass it, and move on. What do you actually get out of it. A piece of paper that says you are qualified. And that HOPEFULLY gets you a job.

I've been selling cars since 2012, so I have to be doing something right. All 3 of my sales managers didn't go to or finish college and they are all making 200K+/year. The hours may be more than a typical 9-5 M-F job. But I'm fine with that.

I have 0 intention of ever going back to school. Just doesn't make sense for me personally.

You would think that for as long as you've gambled and spent time at SBR, you'd be smarter about this stuff by now (and I'm not talking about just this dumb bet). Guess not.

I'm still not sure what's worse: guys who "air bet" and lose or guys who post plays like this and lose. At least if you're air betting, you're not flushing actual money on losers. Sure it ruins your credibility, but you also haven't lost the money you claim to be betting either.
