Unreal.....terrible to watch.

This summer, just four short months ago, one of my neighbours from my cabin that I grew up with, was at his girlfriend's cabin and he ran into the water to his thighs and dove....hit a sandbar and broke several vertebrae.....he had a 14 hour surgery the next day to fuse a huge number of bones in his back. They said he will never walk again....somehow he is getting back on his feet but needs to relearn how I use everything all over again....the doctors do not thinks he will ever have proper use of his bowels again....penetrating sick boys, life as we know it can change so damn fast.

This is so true.
I had an accident while on vacation 6 months ago. I was lucky and can probably walk again in a few months , but almost lost my job and appartment because of that.
