This isn't after timing, coz I didn't bet in the game, but just saw this and wanted to comment. Poor weather does not correlate with low scoring in football (soccer). In fact the opposite applies. Sure, if the pitch is a quagmire and it becomes a slog you'll get 0-0 results but a good winter's day with wet and windy conditions doesn't lessen the chances of scoring.
There are no wet balls to fumble (as in NFL, RUGBY) and usually the goal keeper is at a disadvantage when trying to judge a ball moving with the wind. The goalie will also be slowed by the ground and a heavier ball can be coming at him quicker than normal.
Not trying to be contradictory here, I just think it's worth keeping in mind over the next few months.
