Some good games tonight - I know its the first game of the season teams are gonna come out fired up.


Finally a decent sport to bet on besides baseball to get rid of that mid week twitch before the real boys play on the weekend.

I'm right here buddy! I've been waiting for this moment for awhile now. Finally we have a real men's game to follow. Teams are gonna come out fired up and we might see some high-scoring sloppy hockey the first couple of days. It will be interesting to see if the size increase of a goalie's trapezoid behind the goal does anything to the game.

if I remember it correctly it was pretty wide open for the first 4-5 days last year...of course it doesn't mean that it's gonna happen this year.
usually it takes teams a good week or so to settle down...lots of mistakes are being made at the beginning of the season and mistakes generally lead to goals.
