If Winston didn't have controversy he's a clear leader

odds look spot on, gurley has the inside track he can win with 1-2 losses, not sure any of the qbs have a shot with a loss. cant see prescott or golson getting love unless they go undefeated. marshall might be able to sneak in with a loss off last season same with mariota but he already has one.

petty is the value here at 33-1, hes around 20-1 at most books, baylor has a real shot to go undefeated. they do that its guaranteed hes at least top 3. he was in the 10-1 range before season not sure why the drop off in odds.

if the season goes to shit though which could happen and everyone has 1-2 losses its anyones game and unfortunately it will be whoever espn decides to hype.

I threw some on Gurley early on since I didn't see a clear runner other than Winston but I think his character catches up with him this time. I think Prescott's got it if they run the table and Golson's fate hangs on the FS game, if he steps up to the elevated stage of that game and wins he's going to get votes.

I still like Gurley this early, but keep in mind this time last year Winston wasn't on the radar yet.

Overlooked JT Barrett... 50 to 1 is worth a few bucks imo... last 3 games (vrs OK competition) he has 900 yards 14 TDs 1 INT and 75% comp %. and he hadnt stepped on a football field in 30 months prior to this season... could be this year's J. Winston... if they beat Mich State and don't lose before then you wont find odds on him better than 10 to 1

If I took one, I'd probably take Cooper

Petty has great value. But the eyeball test says Gurley is the best player this year.
