Well considering Miss St plays Auburn, I'd say you are 100% correct

Hard to believe Oklahoma drops all the way out, losing a close game on the road to a team now ranked 12

But that team was ranked 25th yesterday. Plus they get a home game vs Baylor. Win that and a huge help

No doubt, if Oregon wins on the road I think they'll beat Stanford. With just about every team looking to have one loss this year I think a 1-loss Ducks squad takes one of the 4 spots.

Both our teams have some serious O line issues . QB sacked the least may win

Oregon's loss should've come earlier in the season

Exactly, Oregon's came later, so that's why the voters have them behind a preseason top 10 team with 1 loss that's won 3 straight. It was an eye roll at the voters, not you
This one, though, is for you

that ap poll is garbage. How is Baylor above ND? I would love for someone to tell me what i am missing here. I just dont get how a team who hasnt beat a ranked team stays above a team who has.

You don't see how when a team with more recent losses takes a backseat to teams a few weeks away from a loss? Happens in every poll every week every year. If Ole Miss loses this week & Bama wins, Bama will end up leapfrogging Ole Miss b/c Ole Miss lose so they have to drop in the polls while Bama won so they have to be rewarded. That's how the voters in all polls have always reacted & likely always will
The earlier in the season your team's loss is, the better it's chances at being ranked above a team who's only loss is at the end of they year (see: Florida ahead of Michigan back in the Troy Smith Heisman year) or weeks removed from a loss (Michigan State's was a month ago, Oregon's was this weekend). With the advent of the 4-team playoff, it's presumably less of a issue now, but it's been that way forever. The only way to change it is drop the coaches poll & get AP voters who watch tons of games, not just 1 on Saturday then write their articles & interviews & possibly watch a late game

Beat FSU and ND will be there
The Stanford game not as impressive now as the team that beat them USC has losses to BC and Az St
