First off, thanks boys for all of the kind offers of congratulations.
Now, to address Opie's concern (and believe me, I understand his concern), I have already asked her parents and the ring is being made right now. I have planned a surprise, two night stay in Whistler next weekend (going to make some story up about a friend not being able to use his golf prize or something, or she will know what is up) to do the asking.
None of this is exactly how I would have imagined it....we only pulled the goalie one time (the first time in my life) and BOOM. At the same time I couldn't be happier. I would have asked in the next couple of months anyway....but this means no champagne for her....that's the only real difference.

That is a way's away....at least we are both on the same page and want to find out. It is kind of cool that I can say it here, because in my personal life we are still keeping everything hush hush.
She is still freaking out about telling her mother (from Mexico and veeeeery Catholic). I have a feeling her mother will be so happy that she will overlook the lack of nuptials (and I think she will hold off until we are engaged anyway).Comment -
