Cardinals were almost the best team in the league in the 2nd half of last year and are still underrated. Giants offense looked terrible all preseason and just as bad in Week 1. I don't see them putting up enough points in this one. Early start is a slight concern, but its AZ for me.Comment -
Eli Manning last season, and the first game this season, have looked terrible. Its amazing he just keeps his starting job with no one questioning it. They got OWNED, by the Lions defense. And the lions secondary is pretty weak. They are now going up vs one of the more physical secondaries in the NFL, and a team that can get to the QB. Pretty sure Cards feel comfortable playing man on the giants wr, and just blitzing and defending the run. Surprised anybody would be willing to put their trust in Eli Manning being able to win them a bet vs a top defense in this league. Yes, it was a short week, and Zona had to travel. But to me, that just doesn't take away from all the other valid points and make them even.Comment -

There defense still looked pretty strong to me vs Chargers last week. Chargers have one of the best offenses in the NFL. With ryan matthews, gates/kennan allen/ They held them all in check. Again the question comes down to me. How do you bring yourself to trust Eli Manning from what you have seen the last two seasons? They had trouble moving the ball vs a bad defense. We know Eli is $hit. We suspect Palmer is $hit, but Palmer is inactive today - so lifer backup Drew Stanton is destined for a day in the spotlight, provided the Giants don't pull Eli in favor of Nassib.
In a crap game like this backup QBs are that "x-factor" and Stanton already led his team on 2 drives, dreaming of the starting job, most likely. Wonder what it takes to bench Eli.Comment -
