Good evening boys. Was looking for my Thanksgiving recipes in my bookmarks and saw a bookmark for SBR so decided to check in and found this thread. Just for old times sake.,,,

It's a cold wet evening here with the sound of rain softly hitting the window. We have already seen the first snowfall which was a beautiful site glistening on the ground gently greeting the upcoming winter season and the holidays.

Actually the oldest is in high school and is a Sophomore plays football and runs track. 15 years old with his white slip God help me. If I somehow manage to survive that, then it will be time to teach the girls...

The twins are in 8th grade, play almost every sport between the two of them. They are 14 now...

The little blonde one just finished her JFL season and starts weights for high school football on Dec 1. She's the only girl on the team, but loves playing....

The younger (but taller and older looking of the twins) starts her first job in December (work permit).

The youngest is in 6th grade and will be 12 tomorrow.

Between the four of them we have spent the fall watching 4 seasons worth of football in one year. (6th grade JFL, 8th grade JFL, Fresh/Soph football and Varsity football) as well as travel soccer and rec league soccer, softball, volleyball will start soon and then track.

Good evening boys...

East St. Louis is about a two hour drive for us. Think more along the lines of.....

A three stop light town surrounded by fields in a county that is mostly farmland and the closest Wal Mart is 25 minutes away (and not due to traffic)

Basically small town USA where my job as reporter can range from interviewing the local Sheriff who is retiring and laughing with him at his picture of Andy and Barney on the wall (and realizing our town isn't that much different from Mayberry) to taking pictures of the Catholic schools Thanksgiving day program.

*Side note: I remember when the third stop light was put in and either of the above could be on the front page of our paper depending on the week)

I'm from St. Charles originally. Southern Illinois is a nice place to live. I had coworkers from Mascoutah, New Athens, Collinsville, etc.

Sounds nice I can leave my house go through 3 stop lights and turn around and throw a rock (a good throwing rock) and hit my front door.
