The bottom line is Ray Rice was never going to jail. Blame the law makers, blame the court system, but his actions never constituted jail time. Therefore, whether you like it or not, the initial suspension was within the NFL guidelines. I have been saying since the incident happened that you'd have more of an outcry due to the emotional response of witnessing an NFL player strike a woman to the point of unconsciousness. We are now witnessing that reaction. Goodell will still be the Commissioner after the dog and pony show is over. The media will have some other circus act to harp on about.
